Nights Draw is a Murder Mystery Party game. Each one of you takes on the role of one of the characters of On Circus Grounds. In three rounds of play, you have to find out what the other characters have weighing on their conscience; use your personal information and secrets to leverage, confront and investigate.

Story

1885. Two years after the horrific death of director Nicolaas Maester, the dust has seemingly settled in Circus Maester. Elisabeth, Nicolaas’ daughter, is now director and the circus is finally restored to its former glory. But of course, things have never really been peaceful. Still the artists maintain secret contacts, hold grudges and keep each other under close scrutiny. A disaster was never far away.

It shocked everybody when Allard Brimstone, hothead and strong man of the circus, was found dead on the terrain this morning. Although – one of the artists of course knew very well that this scoundrel would draw his final breath last night. So keep those scrutinous eyes open, try not to miss anything and solve this murder in Circus Maester!

What do the others know? Who has seen something suspicious? Who has something to hide? Discover and solve puzzles to collect more evidence and unmask one of you as the culprit!

Number of players

6 or 8. By printing out multiple copies of the game, you could also play with a multiple of 6 or 8 people.
You'll need a game host to prepare the materials and puzzles in advance, and thus knows about the goings-on during the game. This can be one of the 6 or 8 players, or it can be a seventh/ninth person.

Materials

Directly after payment you'll receive a link to two downloadable files, a version for 6 players and a version for 8 players. These are 26 A4-size (US Letter) you can print out yourself. There is one A4 with name and envelope stickers you can print out on special sticker paper. Set your printer to print one-sided in color or black and white. After printing, most of the A4s will have to be cut in two A5s (Half Letter).
