Addendum one
Summoned to Dalfsen on the 14th of August 1883, where Nicolaas Meester, director of Circus Meester, collapsed before the eyes of his audience, exhibited muscle spasms and lost consciousness shortly thereafter. In mere moments, a doctor who was present in the audience pronounced him dead at 12:45. The body in question soon began to emit an odour, due to the victim defecating in his death throes. Regarding this, there have been multiple reports of the victim smelling of garlic, both before and after his passing.

Case: death of Nicolaas Maester
During further investigation of mister Meester’s residential wagon, a cup was found standing on a table, containing traces of tea and an unknown substance. Because the lock to the wagon was recently broken, an individual would have been able to tamper with the tea without much effort.
There has been an earlier break-in into Nicolaas’ wagon.
Someone put an unknown substance into Nicolaas’ tea. What could this substance be?
